Stalker 2 Artifact Map: Anomalies, Spawns, Detectors
Artifact Spawns has 85 dynamic locations, while Artifacts has nine fixed item records; anomaly and detector layers provide the route context for both.
Layers this guide uses
Use Artifact Spawns for the 85 places where the game can select an artifact. Use Artifacts for nine fixed named items. A dynamic spawn point does not guarantee one particular artifact.
Open artifacts, spawns, anomaly fields, arch anomalies, and detectors together, then remove Anomaly Fields once you have chosen an area. Its 1,409 records are useful close up but dense at full-map scale.
Artifact Spawns versus fixed Artifacts
| Layer | Markers | What the marker means |
|---|---|---|
| Artifact Spawns | 85 | A fixed place where the game can choose an artifact |
| Artifacts | 9 | A fixed record naming Fireball, Battery, Mica, Slug, Steak, Eye, Flash, Slime, or Soul |
| Artifact Supplies | 28 | Supply records kept separate from the two location layers |
A spawn marker is not wrong when a different artifact appears there. The point describes the place, and the game determines the current item. That is why these markers carry a dynamic status.
If you need one named fixed item, search its name first. If you are making a general artifact run, use all 85 spawn points and mark the places you have checked.
The six arch anomalies
The Arch Anomaly layer contains Bulba, Mist, Tornado, Wandering Lights, Fire Whirl, and Poppy Field.
Each has its own exact marker. For example, open Wandering Lights or open Poppy Field directly instead of searching the surrounding anomaly icons.
Arch anomalies are landmarks in their own layer. They should not be counted as six additional guaranteed artifact items.
The 1,409 anomaly field records
Anomaly Fields maps hazardous field positions across the Zone. At a regional zoom, it can show where a direct line crosses a dense hazard. At full-map zoom, it can cover roads and smaller layers.
Use it in two passes:
- Open Artifact Spawns and choose a group to visit.
- Add Anomaly Fields and zoom into that group.
- Adjust the route around the visible hazards.
- Switch Anomaly Fields off before choosing the next group.
Once you reach the field, adjust the final approach to the hazards visible in the game rather than following a straight line between icons.
Detector locations
The Detectors layer has five fixed placements: three Hilka Detectors and two Echo Detectors.
| Detector | Fixed markers | Direct example |
|---|---|---|
| Hilka Detector | 3 | Open a Hilka point |
| Echo Detector | 2 | Open an Echo point |
These are item placements, not detector range circles. The map tells you where the detector is placed; its search range depends on the model you equip.
A practical artifact route view
Start with Artifact Spawns, Detectors, Beds, and Traders. That view answers four planning questions: where to search, whether a detector is on the route, where to sleep, and where a trader is marked.
Add Anomaly Fields only after you settle on one region. Add Arch Anomalies when the target is a named landmark. Add fixed Artifacts when looking for one of the nine named records.
Keep the layers separate so an artifact-spawn marker is not mistaken for a guaranteed named pickup.
