Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how LootMap.gg (“LootMap.gg,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information. It applies when you visit https://lootmap.gg/ or any LootMap.gg website, subdomain, page, feature, database, guide, or interactive tool that links to this policy. We refer to all of these as the “Site.”
By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using the Site.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
You may give us information when you:
- Contact us by email
- Send feedback, corrections, or reports
- Make a privacy or intellectual property request
- Take part in a survey, promotion, or other optional feature
- Contact us about advertising, partnerships, or business matters
This may include your name, email address, the content of your message, attachments, and anything else you choose to send.
Please do not send sensitive personal information unless we need it to handle your request.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Referring and exit pages
- Pages viewed and features used
- Dates, times, and approximate duration of visits
- General location derived from an IP address
- Language and regional settings
- Cookie identifiers and similar technical identifiers
- Diagnostic, performance, security, and error data
We generally use this information to run and secure the Site, understand how people use it, and make improvements.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, web beacons, and similar technologies. We may use them to:
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Keep essential Site features working
- Measure traffic and usage
- Analyze performance and diagnose errors
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Measure advertising performance
- Show contextual or personalized advertising where permitted
Some cookies come from us. Third-party service providers may place or read others.
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect how some Site features work.
2.1 Consent in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent management platform (CMP) asks for your choices before non-essential cookies and similar technologies are used for advertising purposes. The CMP is provided through our advertising partner NitroPay and is registered with the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework.
You can review, change, or withdraw your choices at any time. Use the “Update consent preferences” link in the footer of the Site to reopen the consent window. The link appears only to visitors in the regions where the consent window is shown. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
3. Analytics and performance services
We may use third-party services for analytics, performance monitoring, hosting, content delivery, and security. These providers may process technical and usage information so we can understand Site use, improve reliability, find errors, prevent abuse, and measure audience activity.
The services enabled on each LootMap.gg site may differ. Providers may include companies such as Google or Cloudflare.
These companies process information under their own privacy policies and contractual terms.
4. Advertising
LootMap.gg shows advertisements from third-party vendors, including NitroPay and Google.
NitroPay (https://nitropay.com/) manages advertising on the Site. NitroPay and the advertising exchanges, bidders, and other partners it works with may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, and similar technologies to deliver, measure, and personalize ads, cap how often an ad appears, and detect ad fraud. You can read how NitroPay handles information in its privacy policy at https://nitropay.com/privacy.
Google and other vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to the Site or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to the Site and other sites on the Internet.
You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings:
https://adssettings.google.com/
You can also learn about choices offered by participating advertising companies at:
https://www.aboutads.info/choices/
For information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, visit:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Other advertising vendors and networks may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Their own privacy policies govern these practices.
Some US state laws treat making personal information available to advertising partners as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or as processing for targeted advertising. See section 12 for how to opt out. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland can manage their advertising choices as described in section 2.1.
5. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site
- Respond to questions, feedback, corrections, and support requests
- Understand how people use the Site and improve its navigation, content, and tools
- Monitor performance, diagnose problems, and fix errors
- Protect the Site, its users, and our rights from fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Display and measure advertising
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
- Tell you about material changes to the Site or our policies
- Carry out other purposes disclosed when we collect the information
6. Legal bases for processing
Where laws such as the European Union or United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation apply, we may rely on one or more of these legal bases to process personal information:
- Consent: You gave us permission for a specific use.
- Contract: We need to process the information to provide a service you requested.
- Legitimate interests: We need to process the information for a legitimate interest, such as running, securing, analyzing, or improving the Site, and your rights do not override that interest.
- Legal obligation: We need to process the information to comply with the law.
- Legal claims: We need to process the information to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
When processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. This does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
7. How we share information
We may share information in the circumstances described below.
7.1 Service providers
We may share information with vendors that provide hosting, content delivery, analytics, advertising, security, communications, error monitoring, or other services needed to run the Site.
7.2 Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe that doing so is necessary to:
- Comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or government request
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of LootMap.gg, our users, or other people
- Detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity
- Enforce our agreements and policies
7.3 Business transfers
If LootMap.gg or its assets are part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
7.4 At your direction or with your consent
We may share information when you ask us to or give us permission.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, we make identifiers and online activity information available to advertising partners, and some US state laws treat this as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Section 12 describes these disclosures and how to opt out.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this policy. This includes running the Site, responding to requests, maintaining security, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.
How long we keep information depends on the type of information, why we collected it, technical requirements, and applicable law.
9. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.
No website, network, storage system, or method of electronic transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International data transfers
LootMap.gg and its service providers may process information outside the country where you live. Data protection laws in those countries may be different from yours.
Where required, we or our service providers may use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be processed in other jurisdictions, subject to applicable law.
11. Your privacy rights
Your location and applicable law determine which privacy rights you have. These may include the right to:
- Ask for access to personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete certain information
- Ask us to restrict processing
- Object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent
- Ask for a portable copy of certain information
- Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing activities
- Appeal a decision about a privacy request
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
These rights are not absolute and may have legal exceptions.
To make a privacy request, email contact@lootmap.gg and describe your request clearly. We may need to verify your identity before we complete certain requests.
Where the law permits it, you may use an authorized agent. We may ask for proof that the agent has authority to act for you, and we may also verify your identity directly.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
12. Notice to California and other US state residents
This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy. It applies to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), and to residents of other US states with comparable consumer privacy laws. Terms such as “personal information,” “sale,” and “sharing” have the meanings given to them in those laws.
12.1 Personal information we collect
In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers, such as IP address, cookie identifiers, device and advertising identifiers, and, if you contact us, your name and email address
- Internet or other electronic network activity, such as pages viewed, features used, referring pages, browser and device information, and interactions with ads
- Approximate geolocation derived from an IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation.
- Inferences that advertising partners may draw from the information above, such as likely interests used to select ads
- Communications you send us, such as the content of an email
We collect this information from you, from your browser or device, and from our analytics, hosting, security, and advertising providers. We use it for the purposes listed in section 5.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we do not use or disclose personal information to infer characteristics about you beyond what advertising partners may infer for ad selection.
12.2 Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. In the preceding 12 months, we have made identifiers, internet or other electronic network activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences available to advertising partners, including NitroPay, Google, and the ad exchanges, bidders, and measurement companies they work with, so they can show and measure ads, including cross-context behavioral advertising. The CCPA may treat these disclosures as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
We also disclose the categories of personal information listed in section 12.1 to service providers for business purposes, such as hosting, content delivery, analytics, security, and error monitoring.
We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
12.3 Your rights
Subject to exceptions under applicable law, you have the right to:
- Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it
- Delete personal information we have collected from you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that give rise to this right.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
12.4 How to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
You can opt out in any of these ways:
- Select the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link in the footer of the Site. The link appears to visitors in the US states where it applies. Your choice is stored in your browser and sent to our advertising partners.
- Turn on the Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports it. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser.
- Email contact@lootmap.gg with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.”
An opt-out through the link or the Global Privacy Control applies to the browser and device you use. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device, you may need to opt out again.
12.5 How to make other requests
To exercise your right to know, access, delete, or correct, email contact@lootmap.gg and describe your request. Because we generally do not know who you are, we may ask for information such as the cookie identifier, device, or approximate dates of your visits so we can match your request to the information we hold. We will not ask you to create an account.
You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for signed permission from you and may verify your identity directly.
We will respond within the time required by law, which under the CCPA is generally 45 days. If we decline a request, we will explain why. Where your state law provides a right to appeal, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject “Privacy Request Appeal.”
12.6 Retention and financial incentives
We keep each category of personal information for as long as described in section 8. We do not offer financial incentives or price or service differences in exchange for personal information.
13. Browser privacy signals
Some browsers and extensions support preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. Where required by law, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser, as described in section 12.4.
There is no universally accepted standard for all browser-based “Do Not Track” signals, so the Site may not respond to every signal.
14. Children’s privacy
The Site is for a general audience. It is not directed to children who are below the age at which applicable law requires parental consent.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email contact@lootmap.gg. We will review the request and take appropriate action.
15. Third-party websites and services
The Site may link to game publishers, platforms, community resources, advertisers, and other third-party websites or services.
We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their privacy, security, availability, or content. Review their policies before giving them personal information.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We may also announce material changes on the Site when appropriate.
If you continue to use the Site after an updated policy takes effect, you acknowledge the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
