Layers this guide uses

The current Stalker 2 map has 81 Armor markers and one Unique Armor marker. The unique point is the X7 Suit. The Armor layer also contains fixed placements for Brummbar, Diamond, Liberty, Operator, Cuirass, and standard exoskeletons.

Open Armor and Unique Armor together for the complete fixed-location view. These are placement records, not a promise that every suit is available in every quest state.

The only Unique Armor marker

Open the exact X7 Suit marker. It is the single point in the Unique Armor layer.

The separation matters. Turning on only Armor hides the X7 Suit, while turning on only Unique Armor hides the other 81 placements. Use both layers for a complete suit search.

Exoskeleton locations on the Armor layer

The current Armor data contains nine placements across six exoskeleton names.

Search by model when you want one suit. Keep the whole Armor layer visible when comparing which option lies near your current route.

Where the other 72 armor markers fit

Armor includes suits, helmets, gas masks, body armor, and exosuits. Repeated names are separate placements. For example, a model with three markers can be available at three different fixed positions.

That is why 81 does not mean 81 distinct armor models. The map answers where a fixed placement is, while the marker name answers what the placement contains.

Use Armor with Locations to read nearby landmarks. Do not turn on supplies at the same time unless you are already zoomed in, because large supply layers hide the relatively small armor set.

Compare armor locations

Use the map to compare the distance to each suit rather than treating the nearest marker as an overall armor ranking. Protection, upgrade state, carry weight, and story progress still shape the choice.

Use this shorter process instead:

  1. Search the model name in the map.
  2. Open each matching placement.
  3. Compare the route against your current region and unlocked services.
  4. Add Technicians before deciding where to finish the run.

A suit that is slightly weaker on paper can be the practical choice if it is on your route and near a technician you can use.

Cost of Hope armor searches

Cost of Hope search results often mix fixed armor pins with armor found behind DLC locks or mission progression. Keep Armor visible for fixed placements and add quest layers only when following a named mission.

If a guide names a safe or story reward but the Armor layer has no point at that exact lock, use the region and Locations layer for orientation.

For a clean sweep, start with Armor alone, mark each checked placement, and add Unique Armor before leaving the region.
