How many locations are on the BIG WALK interactive map?
There are 469 markers: 185 in Gourds, 96 Gear, 84 Challenges, 47 Keys, 25 Trail stations, 12 Telescopes, 7 Train, 7 Broadcast and 6 Chairlift. Search by name or filter to one category before planning a route.
Where is the Map Room, and does the in-game map show where I am?
The Map Room is the blue building below the Red Tower. Place five puzzle rewards at the tower, carry its key through every cutting station and use the finished key. Inside are the portable Folding map and Compass. The Folding map does not show your live position.
How many gourds are there, and where are they all?
The Gourds layer contains 46 gourd items and 139 stands, for 185 markers in total. Use the type filters to show only the 46 pickups. The main route asks for 4 at the drawbridge, 5 at each coloured tower and 6 at the Black Obelisk.
Where do gourds actually go?
Carry them to grouped stands at the current stage. The drawbridge group takes four, each coloured tower group takes five and the Black Obelisk stage takes six. A single empty stand elsewhere is not a substitute for the stage's bank.
Which towers do I need, and in what order?
Start with Red to open the Map Room and collect the Folding map and Compass. Green opens the chairlift, Yellow opens the tunnels and salon, and Blue starts the train. The Black Obelisk follows the four coloured towers.
What are the key cutters, and how do I follow a key trail?
A tower key must pass through its cutting stations before it fits the final lock. The arrow on each machine points toward the next stop. LootMap records 25 of these route points under Trail stations and 47 key or key-slot markers under Keys.
Where are all 7 radio stations?
Open the Broadcast layer for the 7 fixed radio stations. Each one has a handheld Radio Gear marker beside it. Two extra handheld Radios are away from stations, so the map contains 7 Broadcast markers and 9 Radio Gear markers.
Where are the Backpacks and Hip packs?
The Gear layer has 6 Backpacks and 5 Hip packs. Filter to those types to see 11 starting positions. Both appear together at one pickup area in the far south-east, and a teammate can place a Backpack on you.
Where are the train stations, and why does the train not stop?
The train never stops, so board it while it is moving. Service starts once the Blue Tower is finished and its key is turned in the station building beside it. This map marks 7 train stations.
Where are the chairlift stations?
The Chairlift layer has 6 markers in two groups of three: one near the north coast and one on high ground in the south-east. Finish the Green Tower to start the lift.
Where are the telescopes, and which have puzzles nearby?
The map has 12 Telescope markers. Nine have a Challenge marker beside them, while three near the shore do not. View Telescopes and Challenges together when checking puzzle locations on high ground.
How do I use a numbered coordinate clue?
Read the first number from north to south and the second from west to east. For the hidden-button clue, search the southern rocks beside the broken train line. One player must press the button while another takes the puzzle reward.
Do the challenges change with 2, 3 or 4 players?
Yes. The host chooses a 2-player, 3-player or 4-plus world, which changes some challenge configurations but does not set the lobby maximum. The map has 84 Challenge markers, including 16 that explicitly name a player count.
Does BIG WALK support crossplay?
Yes. Crossplay works across Windows, Mac, PS5 and Switch 2 for groups of 2 to 12 friends. There is no public matchmaking.
Is BIG WALK on Xbox, PS4 or the original Switch?
No. The supported versions are Windows, Mac, PS5 and Switch 2; Xbox, PS4 and the original Switch are not supported.
Can I play BIG WALK alone?
There is no single-player campaign or matchmaking. The puzzles are built for at least two people.
When did BIG WALK release, and who made it?
BIG WALK released on 4 August 2026. House House developed it and Panic published it.
When was BIG WALK included with PlayStation Plus?
The PS5 launch page advertised a PlayStation Plus offer scheduled to end on 1 September 2026 at 16:00 UTC. Check the current store listing for availability after that date.
Does this spoil the puzzle solutions?
The base map shows locations and starting items, not step-by-step answers. The separate coordinate-puzzle guide includes its button solution, while the broad Challenge layer remains a location checklist.
