Big Walk Radio Station Locations: All 7 on the Map
The Island has 7 broadcast stations, each overlapping a Radio starting marker, plus 2 extra Radio starting markers away from stations.
Layers this guide uses
Open Broadcast stations and Gear together, then leave Radio selected in the Gear types. Seven Radio starting markers overlap stations; the other two start away from stations.
All 7 radio station locations
| Map location | Ground |
|---|---|
| North-west station | low |
| North-east station | low |
| North high station | high |
| West station | low |
| East station | low |
| South-east station | middle |
| Far-south-east station | high |
The stations reach from the north coast to the far south-east. That spread makes them useful route anchors even when your group is not collecting Radios.
The two Radios away from stations
One extra Radio starts near the middle of the island, close to the Map Room and Folding map area. It is a convenient early pickup if your group unlocks the Red Tower before visiting a broadcast site.
The other extra Radio starts on the highest ground covered by the map. A Challenge marker and Binoculars starting marker share that point, so pick up both Gear items and complete the Challenge in one climb.
The all 96 tools guide lists every Gear type if your route also needs Walkie-talkies, Megaphones or Flare guns. Radio is its own filter inside that layer.
A route that avoids backtracking
There is no single shortest circuit because tower progress changes which transport is running. Without transport, clear the two northern low stations first, cross to the northern high station, then work south through the east side before finishing at the far-south-east station.
The western station sits away from that line. Visit it while your route is already on the west side instead of crossing the island solely for one pin.
Once the Blue Tower train or Green Tower chairlift is active, use the travel and navigation guide to decide where to join the circuit. Transport does not remove the final walk to a station, but it can cut out the longest return leg.
Using stations as meeting points
Agree on one linked Broadcast station before the party leaves voice range. Its fixed structure is clearer than a description of a hill or large rock.
Mark a station after the group has collected its Radio, then hide marked locations. The seven-point layer becomes a short checklist, and a shared map address preserves the same filters for everyone.
Broadcast marks the fixed structure; Radio marks the movable Gear item that starts beside it. View both layers together to confirm which station the group has checked.
Radio station FAQ
Why does the map say Broadcast instead of Radio Station?
LootMap uses Broadcast for each fixed radio-station structure and Radio for the movable item beside it.
Are there 7 or 9 Radios?
There are 7 fixed Broadcast stations and 9 handheld Radio Gear starting markers. Seven Radios start at stations and two start elsewhere.
Is a Radio the same as a Walkie-talkie?
No. They are separate Gear types and have separate filters on the map.
