Layers this guide uses

The Silksong Enemies layer contains 2,262 markers. The Battles layer adds 38 arena locations. Search the exact name when Search finds it; otherwise expand Enemies and select the subtype. Then add Benches and Passages for the approach and return.

The layer also contains many one-off named encounters. Search finds Shrine Guardian Seth by name, while Void Mass, Final Audience, The Terrible Tyrant and Pain, Anguish and Misery are selected from the Enemies type list. There is no shared boss subtype.

Find one named encounter

  1. Turn on Enemies and search the name.
  2. If search has no result, expand Enemies and select its subtype.
  3. Add Battles to check whether an arena marker sits nearby.
  4. Add Benches and choose the practical return point.
  5. Add Passages if the direct route crosses a locked or vertical connection.
  6. Turn off the full Enemies layer after selecting the target.

Enemies, battles, benches and passages contains 3,736 markers. Search or subtype selection must come before route planning or the passage network will disappear under enemy pins.

Seth and other changing characters

Seth can refer to the NPC or the Shrine Guardian Seth encounter. The Characters layer has three Seth records, while Enemies has a separate fight record. Keep the category visible when selecting a result.

Green Prince is stored as a character, not an enemy. Use the Shakra and NPC locations guide when you need his story position.

Enemy spawn versus battle arena

An enemy marker records a position for that enemy type. A Battles marker records an arena or encounter area. They can overlap without being duplicates because they answer different questions.

Use Enemies for Hunter’s Journal farming and a named target. Use Battles for arena routing. Show both only after narrowing the region.

Plan around a bench

Pharloom has 85 bench markers. The closest bench by straight line may sit behind a locked way or on another branch of the passage network. Keep Passages on and follow the connected route rather than the flat distance.

For repeated attempts, save a filtered link with the target selected. Mark the approach once you know it, but leave the enemy visible if the fight or journal count is still active.

When a fight is not active yet

Some fights appear only after a story step. If the correct marker is empty, check the current objective before changing routes; the encounter may not be active yet.

Use the route to remove navigation work. Let the live quest state and arena decide the combat step.
