Silksong Quest, Wish and Challenge Locations Guide
The Quest layer has 13 records and Challenges has one; live clues may instead require a Character subtype, indexed item or manual region route.
Layers this guide uses
The Silksong Quest layer contains 13 records: six Steel Soul spots, three Gramophones, three Quest boards and one Relic board. Challenges contains one marker. When a wish has no titled pin, use its live clue to browse a Character subtype, search an indexed item or pan to the named region.
What the Quest layer contains
| Quest record | Markers |
|---|---|
| Steel Soul spot | 6 |
| Gramophone | 3 |
| Quest board | 3 |
| Relic board | 1 |
| Challenge | 1 |
Open Quests and Challenges for the clean 14-point index. Add Characters and Collectibles only after choosing a task.
Follow a live wish clue
The Quest layer does not index every wish title. Start from the live objective rather than assigning a generic Quest pin to it.
- Select the named NPC subtype under Characters.
- Search a required item when it has its own Collectibles title.
- Pan to the region named by the objective.
- Add Quests for nearby boards or task records.
- Add Benches before planning the route.
This is more reliable than forcing every wish into the 13-marker Quest layer.
Crustnut location
Crustnut is an exact Collectibles subtype with one marker. Open Collectibles, search “Crustnut”, and select the single result. Keep the item name active because Collectibles contains 102 points.
The map can locate the item record. The quest step that consumes or checks it belongs to the live task state.
Green Prince and Act 3 tasks
Green Prince has four Character markers. Open Characters, select the Green Prince subtype and match the result to the story region. Add Black thread only if Act 3 spoilers are acceptable.
Challenges and battle arenas
Challenges has one marker. Battles has 38 arena markers in a separate category. Use Challenges for that indexed point and Battles for combat locations.
For an arena objective, check both Challenges and Battles. The task wording and the map category may not use the same label.
Track multi-step tasks
Mark only the record you have completed. A quest that moves between NPC states can have several relevant Character markers, and marking them all after the first conversation hides later steps.
For a moving wish, save a deep link to the current objective and replace it when the task advances. The map is strongest when it answers the present location question.
Avoid story-state claims from coordinates
A marker can belong to a later act or story state. When the point is empty, check the quest log and progression before treating the coordinate as wrong.
