Palworld World Tree Map: What All 1,385 Markers Are
The World Tree map holds 1,385 markers in 13 layers, and 728 of them are chests, while every mining node on it is Paloxite and every gathering point is Junk.
Layers this guide uses
- The World Tree
- Chest 728
- Mining 80
- Pal Effigy 47
- Note 68
- Field Boss 7
- Palpagos Islands
- Chest 9,112
- Mining 7,255
The World Tree map holds 1,385 markers across 13 layers. Chests account for 728 of them, more than half the map. Pal habitats are next at 368, then mining at 80, notes at 68 and effigies at 47. Open it and 11 of the 13 layers are already drawn, since gathering and Pal habitat start switched off.
Two facts save the most time up front. Every mining node on the World Tree is Paloxite, and every gathering point is Junk.
Everything on the World Tree map
| Layer | World Tree | Palpagos Islands |
|---|---|---|
| Chest | 728 | 9,112 |
| Pal habitat | 368 | 12,134 |
| Mining | 80 | 7,255 |
| Note | 68 | 55 |
| Lifmunk Effigy | 47 | 360 |
| Pal Egg | 29 | 1,786 |
| Gathering | 24 | 2,046 |
| Great Eagle Statue | 15 | 137 |
| Skill fruit | 12 | 35 |
| Field Boss | 7 | 90 |
| Tower | 4 | 9 |
| Watchtower | 2 | 20 |
| NPC | 1 | 461 |
The World Tree is about a twenty seventh of Palpagos by marker count, and the mix is different. It has more notes than the whole of Palpagos does, 68 against 55, on a map a fraction of the size. Everything else is smaller, some of it drastically: 29 Pal Eggs against 1,786, and one NPC against 461.
Thirteen layers that exist on Palpagos are absent here entirely. Fishing, supply drops, dungeons, treasure maps, Dog Coins, elemental chests, enemy camps, warp points, Sealed Realms, Predator Pals, crude oil, respawn points and the Statue of Power are all Palpagos only. If you are looking for any of those on the World Tree, you are looking for something that is not there.
The 728 chests
Chests are 53 percent of the markers on this map. On Palpagos they are 24 percent of 37,544, so more than half of everything drawn here is a container against roughly a quarter over there.
Switch the chest layer on by itself and the routes through the area read clearly, because with the other twelve layers off the chests are the only thing on screen.
728 is also enough that clearing them needs bookkeeping. Open a chest marker, tick Mark on its card, and turn Hide marked on when the map gets crowded. Marks are kept per map in your own browser, so what you tick here does not touch your Palpagos progress.
The two smallest collecting layers run the other way. Pal Eggs stop at 29 here against 1,786 on Palpagos, and skill fruit at 12 against 35. If you came to farm eggs, this is the wrong map to be standing on.
Mining and gathering: two short answers
There are 80 mining nodes on the World Tree and all 80 are Paloxite. The layer has no second ore type, so nothing needs filtering and nothing else is hiding in it. If you came for Sulfur, Pure Quartz or Coal, those sit in the Palpagos mining layer and nowhere else.
There are 24 gathering points and every one of them is Junk. The lotuses and the Nightstar Sand that make the Palpagos gathering layer worth 2,046 markers are absent here, so 24 piles of junk is the whole of the hand gathering on this map. Worth knowing before you spend an evening holding the collect button in the undergrowth.
The 47 effigies, and the 30 Cattiva ones
The effigy layer here has 47 markers in three types: 30 Cattiva Effigies, 15 Lifmunk Effigies and 2 Yakumo Effigies.
Cattiva Effigies exist nowhere else in the game. All 30 are on this map.
The 15 Lifmunk Effigies matter for a different reason. Palpagos has 140 and this map has the other 15, so 155 in total. A player who finished Palpagos and never came here is 15 short with nothing left to find on the other map. There is no Statue of Power on the World Tree, so anything you pick up has to travel back to Palpagos.
Zenara’s Diary and the other notes
The World Tree carries 68 notes, more than Palpagos manages with 55. Nine of them are named in the layer:
- Zenara’s Diary, parts 1 to 5
- Ancient Recorder
- Audio Recording from a Council Meeting
- Suppression Operation Comms Log
- A scorched piece of paper
The other 59 markers are notes without a listed name. If you are reading the area for its story rather than its loot, the five parts of Zenara’s Diary are the thread to follow, and the layer will take you to each one.
Pals and bosses on the World Tree
The habitat layer has 368 markers covering 37 Pals. Mimog leads with 57, then Sibelyx Primo at 18 and Roujay at 16.
Twenty three of those 37 Pals appear in no habitat marker on Palpagos, which makes this the only place to look for them. Four more are far easier to catch here than there: Orserk has 11 markers on this map against 1 on Palpagos, Lyleen Noct has 10 against 1, Lyleen has 10 against 2 and Faleris has 5 against 1.
Field Bosses and towers come to 7 boss points and 4 towers. Five Pals are named across the 7 points: Aegidron, Dualith, Moldron Cryst, Renjishi and Whalaska Ignis. Two of the seven markers carry no Pal name.
Getting there and getting around
The unlock sequence for the World Tree is not something this page can state with confidence for build 24575825, so it is left out rather than guessed at. What the map settles is everything after that point.
The World Tree is its own map rather than a corner of Palpagos, and it has its own fast travel network: 15 Great Eagle Statues and 2 watchtowers, against 137 statues and 20 watchtowers on Palpagos. Fifteen is a short list, so unlocking the lot early is a realistic first job here in a way that it never is on the larger map.
There is exactly one NPC marker on the whole map. If you are looking for a shop or a merchant out of habit, that is the count you are working with.
