Layers this guide uses

The Palpagos dungeon layer contains 170 entrances. The Sealed Realm layer adds 18 boss arenas. Both are Palpagos-only layers. The World Tree map has no recorded Dungeon or Sealed Realm locations.

The eight named cavern groups account for 169 entrances. One additional marker uses the generic Dungeon label. These are not 170 different layouts. Searching a named cavern group filters the map to the part of Palpagos where that entrance type appears.

Dungeon entrances and Sealed Realms are different

A Dungeon marker is a cave entrance in the rotating dungeon network. A Sealed Realm marker is a fixed boss arena. Their map icons and layers stay separate because the trip has a different purpose.

Open both with Great Eagle Statues when you are planning a session. Turn Sealed Realm off for a pure cave check. Turn Dungeon off when you only need a repeatable arena location.

Plan a cave check by region

  1. Search the cavern group that matches your current region.
  2. Add Great Eagle Statue and choose a travel point near a cluster.
  3. Draw a loop through several entrances instead of crossing the island for one pin.
  4. Mark entrances you checked during the current sweep.
  5. Clear those temporary marks later if you use the same points as a recurring route.

Only some dungeon entrances are open in a given world state. If one marked cave is closed, move to the next point in the cluster and keep the route intact.

Add bosses only when they help the route

The Field Boss layer has 90 Palpagos markers. Adding all of them to 170 dungeons makes the map busy, but the combination is useful near a planned alpha fight. Keep the boss layer off for routine cave checks. Turn it on when a route can include a named Pal without a large detour.

Sealed Realms already identify a boss location, so pairing them with Field Boss mostly helps distinguish arena bosses from overworld alphas.

Why a cave pin can feel wrong

Cave entrances often sit against cliffs, slopes or overhangs. A marker on the correct horizontal position may still require approaching from another elevation. Zoom in far enough to read the terrain and check the cliff line before assuming the entrance is on the visible face.

Search can also hide an entrance silently. Clear the search after jumping to a named cavern group. If Dungeon is on and the result count still reads zero, you may be looking at the World Tree sheet, where this category is absent.

What changes inside an active dungeon

Room layout, contents and the live boss come from the active instance. Plan with the entrance position, cavern region, nearby travel nodes and 18 fixed Sealed Realm arenas, then adapt after loading inside.
